About The Position

Anesthesiologist – 1099 Fridays | Neurosurgery Cases Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) Setting – Provide anesthesia services in a high-quality, efficient outpatient environment. 1099 Independent Contractor – day shift schedule with competitive compensation. Schedule - 3 Fridays per month available About Us National Spine & Pain Centers (NSPC) is one of the largest pain management practices in the United States, recognized for clinical excellence, innovative treatments, and long-term patient outcomes. We are seeking an experienced Anesthesiologist to provide anesthesia coverage on Fridays at one of our ambulatory surgery centers in Winter Park, FL. Working alongside highly skilled surgeons and clinical teams, our anesthesiologists deliver safe, high-quality anesthesia care to patients undergoing outpatient surgical procedures.

Requirements

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology residency.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology.
  • Active, unrestricted state medical license (or ability to obtain).
  • Current ACLS and BLS certification.
  • Eligible for medical malpractice insurance at required limits.
  • Proficiency with EMR systems.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
  • Successful completion of background and credentialing requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with neurosurgical cases preferred.
  • Prior ASC or outpatient surgery experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and document comprehensive pre-anesthesia evaluations.
  • Review patient history, laboratory results, and diagnostic studies.
  • Obtain informed consent for anesthesia services.
  • Develop and implement individualized anesthesia care plans.
  • Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care as clinically indicated.
  • Manage airway techniques appropriate for neurosurgical procedures.
  • Monitor patients intraoperatively and manage physiologic responses to anesthesia.
  • Provide post-anesthesia care and patient handoff to recovery staff.
  • Respond to perioperative emergencies using ACLS protocols.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, nursing staff, and ASC leadership to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory, credentialing, and quality standards.
