About The Position

Blackfeet Community Hospital, IHS, and Prairie Band Health Services are seeking an experienced CRNA to support anesthesia services in a mission-driven, rural healthcare setting. This role offers broad clinical exposure, a supportive care team, and the opportunity to practice independently while serving a meaningful patient population. The CRNA will deliver inpatient and outpatient anesthesia care across surgical, procedural, and emergency cases in a 24/7 hospital environment. This position includes on-call responsibilities and offers full-time or part-time contract flexibility. We are seeking a highly skilled and licensed Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team at Blackfeet Community Hospital, located in Browning, Montana (59417). This opportunity is ideal for a CRNA who is passionate about delivering high-quality anesthesia care in a mission-driven, community-focused healthcare setting. The CRNA will provide inpatient and outpatient anesthesia services for medical and surgical procedures within the operating room, clinics, and other clinical settings as required. This is a 24/7 hospital environment, and participation in an on-call rotation is required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CRNA
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program (MSN, DNP, or DNAP required)
  • National Board Certification (NBCRNA)
  • Active, unrestricted CRNA license with no disciplinary actions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with EHR systems
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule, including call
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, primarily residing in the United States
  • Must be willing to complete a federal background investigation
  • Valid driver’s license may be required

Nice To Haves

  • Previous IHS or tribal facility experience preferred
  • Locum tenens experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe and effective anesthesia care for surgical, obstetric, emergency, and procedural cases
  • Perform pre-anesthetic assessments and post-anesthesia follow-up care
  • Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care as appropriate
  • Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Participate in on-call coverage as scheduled
