About The Position

The Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) administers anesthesia to any patient undergoing a surgical procedure, obstetric procedure or procedure requiring anesthesia (CT, MRI, Bronchoscopy, TEE or IR) as designated by the supervising physician.

Requirements

• Master's degree
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• PALS certification
• Less than one year Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant experience

• Specific coursework in Anesthesia (preferred)
• Preferred experience: N/A

Responsibilities

• Administers anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures, obstetric procedures, or procedures requiring anesthesia
• Assists in the evaluation and training of student anesthesiologist assistants
• Responsible to the Chairman and the Chief Anesthetist for the Department of Anesthesia
• Assignments are performed based on the age and developmental level of patients being served
