Responsibilities The Anesthesia Technician, under the direction of the Surgical Services Director or Designee, supports the anesthesia care team in ensuring patient safety, by preparing and maintaining anesthesia equipment and supplies, assisting with bedside procedures and monitoring patients during medical procedures who are undergoing anesthesia. This is a Full Time, Day Shift position

Requirements

  • Post High School Special Training - Required
  • Florida Emergency Medical Assistant (EMT), Certified Medical Assistant, CMA) or Certified Nurse’s Assistant (CNA)with specialty anesthesia training (can be on the job)– required
  • BLS- required
  • Technical support and clinical application training and ability for advanced anesthesia machines and adjunct equipment with company technician and hospital biomed department.
  • Required to assist with routine on-call support during off hours to ensure safe patient care (evenings, nights, weekends, holidays)
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors or Associates of Health Sciences (Anesthesia Technology, Medical Assisting, etc.)- Preferred
  • Florida Paramedic, LPN license or Certified Anesthesia Technician(Cer.A.T) or Certified Anesthesia Technologist (Cer. A.T.T.) from the American Society of technologists and technicians Preferred
  • ACLS -preferred
