This role involves assisting with anesthesia administration and monitoring, supporting invasive and non-invasive procedures, and ensuring proper setup and function of advanced equipment. The Technologist II also contributes to staff training through active participation in the orientation and mentoring of new team members. Clinical Support 1. Assists the anesthesiologist in the administration and monitoring of anesthesia, possessing knowledge of anesthesia techniques, instruments, supplies, and technology. 2. May provide support to anesthesiologists with both invasive and non-invasive monitoring, as well as advanced line preparation and placement. Technical Equipment Support 1. Knowledge of advanced equipment testing, calibration, troubleshooting, cleaning, and disinfecting. 2. Must possess a comprehensive understanding of anesthesia equipment, medications, and procedures, and be well-acquainted with various types of anesthesia machines, monitors, and their appropriate usage. 3. May be tasked with ensuring connectivity between anesthesia vital sign monitoring equipment and the Anesthesia charting system. Team Collaboration 1. Assist actively in the orientation and mentoring of new staff. Safety and Infection Control 1. Adhere to principles of sterile technique and other infection control policies and standards to sustain a healthy work environment. Perform related responsibilities as required.
