About The Position

Baptist Health Louisville Surgical Services is seeking to hire a Full Time, Dayshift, Anesthesia Tech . The Anesthesia Technician is responsible for organizing and maintaining anesthesia supplies and equipment to support anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists. Key duties include setting up and cleaning anesthesia machines, carts, and workstations before and after surgical cases, checking and restocking supplies, and ensuring equipment is in working order. This role assists with oxygen sensor calibration, CO2 line changes, soda sorb replacement, and securing sharps containers. The technician supports the OR team by setting up rooms with the appropriate equipment, managing expired or single-use items, and segregating clean and dirty tools. They communicate regularly with the Anesthesia RN Coordinator and OR staff, transport equipment and supplies, and attend safety huddles. Additional responsibilities include assisting with patient transfers, retrieving blood products or lab specimens, and maintaining clean and organized anesthesia storage areas. This is a vital support role ensuring efficient and safe anesthesia services throughout the perioperative environment. Requirements: BCLS required within 90 days of hire. High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Anesthesia technician experience strongly preferred.
