Anesthesia Technician at Houston Physicians Hospital Assists in the administration of anesthetics, with cardiac arrest respiratory support. Responsible for maintaining anesthesia medical equipment and supplies. Assists in Operating Room turnovers and specialty equipment set up for surgical procedures

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Current Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)

Responsibilities

Coordinates the needs of anesthesia.
Assists with technical aspects of getting patients ready for general or regional anesthesia.
Assists anesthesia clinicians with intravenous and intra-arterial and other monitoring catheters.
Verifies functioning and proper layout of equipment and disposable products.
Orders, stocks and sets up anesthesia equipment in all ORs on a daily basis and between each case.
Cleans and sterilizes all anesthesia equipment when necessary.
Coordinates activities for maintaining anesthesia equipment.
Assists in maintaining equipment repair logs and development of an equipment database.
Responsible for tracking and replacement of expired anesthesia supplies.
Assists in set up and tear down of OR suites before and after cases.
Participates in timely and efficient OR room turnover
