We are currently seeking an Anesthesia Technician to join our world-renowned team at our NYP/Westchester Hospital. In this position, you will maintain the cleanliness of equipment between cases requiring knowledge of sterility concepts and cleaning procedures and knowledge of equipment functions. Clean debris, replace soda lime granules, clear inhalation and exhalation parts, and check blood pressure cuffs for leaks, and replace batteries. Ensure machines contain a complete breathing circuit. Conduct weekly inventory of supplies maintained by the department those ordered from outside vendors, general stores, central sterile, and the pharmacy. Maintain complete stock of drugs and medical supplies. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. This is a per diem position at NewYork-Presbyterian/Westchester.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Mechanical training or experience with equipment including knowledge on the operation of sterilizers and sterility techniques.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room experience
- Previous experience as an Anesthesia Technician
