About The Position

Novant Health is seeking an Anesthesia Tech to assist the anesthesia team prior to, during, and after patient procedures in any location anesthesia is provided across Novant Health. The role involves proficiency in sterilization, maintenance, packing, and resupply of the most complex anesthesia supplies and emergency equipment. The Anesthesia Tech will have significant patient contact while assisting in procedures and will work collaboratively with the anesthesia team, nursing staff, and off-site resources.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
• Must obtain RQI Responder certification within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
• Some knowledge of anesthesia equipment and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Assist the anesthesia team before, during, and after patient procedures.
• Proficiently handle sterilization, maintenance, packing, and resupply of anesthesia supplies and emergency equipment.
• Collaborate with the anesthesia team, nursing staff, and off-site resources.
• Maintain proper cleaning and disinfecting of anesthesia equipment.
• Manage inventory and ordering of anesthesia supplies.
