About The Position

The Anesthesia Technician provides anesthesia support services throughout the medical center in conjunction with surgical and interventional procedures requiring anesthesia. Will function as a member of the anesthesia and surgical team. Assists in case preparation, induction, extubation, technical and functional support, and case turnover of rooms between procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum one (1) year of anesthesia experience in a hospital setting.
• High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent.
• Knowledge of sterile techniques to provide sterile hands-on assistance.
• Familiar with the functioning and requirements of a surgical suite and the processes and requirements of anesthesia care.
• Demonstrate ability to utilize and maintain a wide variety of health care equipment.
• Ability to respond quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English effectively.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Nice To Haves

• Anesthesia Tech Certification.
