Anesthesia Technician PRN

As an Anesthesia Technician, you will work closely with the anesthesia team and surgical staff to help every procedure go safely and smoothly. You will play a key role in keeping equipment ready, supporting patient care, and helping create a safe, comfortable environment throughout the surgical journey. You contribute to our success. Requirements
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) verification course through American Heart Assoc. and American Red Cross - Healthcare Provider CPR
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
- Medical terminology
- Basic personal computer skills
- Medical supply knowledge
Responsibilities
- Provides the operating room staff, surgeons, andâ¯anesthesia personnel with the necessary supplies andâ¯equipment for the surgical procedures
- Ensures utilized equipment (included but not limited to: glidescope/bronchoscope/difficult intubation equipment) is appropriately cleaned, stored and in proper working order prior to use.
- Submits work orders in a timely manner for needed maintenance/repairs.
- Schedules preventative maintenance as required and follows up on completion.
- Performs 1st level testing and maintenance on anesthesia equipment
- Trouble shoots issues with anesthesia machines and other anesthesia equipment
- Maintains designated par levels of anesthesia supplies and ensures carts are stocked with immediate use items used for operative procedures.
- Maintains inventory/stock levels, ordering, acquiring supplies and minor instruments and equipment
- Participates in evaluating new equipment/supplies that pertains to the anesthesia service
