We are currently seeking an Anesthesia Technician to join our world-renowned team at our NewYork-Presbyterian Columbia Medical Center. In this position, you will provide approved assistance to Anesthesiologists / CRNA’s during the induction, maintenance and emergence from Anesthesia. Assist the anesthesiologists/ CRNA’s with the placement of regional anesthetics and invasive monitoring devices. Maintain on a daily and case to case basis, the equipment and supplies necessary to provide quality and cost effective anesthesia care to all patients cared for by the Anesthesia Department. Set up sterile equipment, such as intravenous, central venous, arterial and pulmonary artery catheters using sterile technique. Sets up, operates, and disassembles cell saver equipment and rapid infuser devices as assigned. Ensure the sterility and cleanliness of specialized equipment, including TEE’s, fiber optic scopes and LMA’s. Perform other job related duties as assigned. Your work area will include four amazing new operating rooms, each featuring video-conference networking for an optimal learning and treatment environment. Two suites include Seimens’ new Artis Zeego robotic c-arm scanners, a revolutionary new tool in surgical care found at only four hospitals nationwide. In this advanced environment, you’ll help maintain our commitment to safe, effective and compassionate care. This is a full-time position working an evening shift 2pm-10pm, Monday- Friday located at NewYork-Presbyterian/ The Allen.
