This is a full-time (36 hrs./week) position with 12-hour shifts at Scripps Mercy in Hillcrest. Our Anesthesia Technicians have the distinction of working in the longest established hospital and the only Catholic medical center in San Diego. Supporting excellence in patient-centered care, the Anesthesia Tech provides critical support to the highly skilled medical and nursing team in the Surgery department. We invite you to join our team of highly engaged Anesthesia Technicians. Under supervision and direction of the RN, the Anesthesia Tech operates, sets-up and maintains monitoring equipment in the operating rooms. Assists the anesthesiologist with implementation of monitoring lines and devices. Maintains anesthesia supplies and equipment. Maintains and operates video and laser equipment under the direction of the RN. #LI-JS1

Requirements

  • One year experience in the OR.
  • Knowledge of anesthesia equipment
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and follow instructions in English.
  • American Heart Association BLS health care provider.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Paramedic experience
  • EMT experience
