Administering pain relief before, during, and after medical procedures - Monitoring patients’ vital signs during procedures - Supervising anesthesia assistants and certified registered nurse anesthetists - Approving general, sedative, regional, or local anesthetics - Reviewing medical files and lab results - Informing patients of risks associated with anesthesia
