About The Position
The Anesthesia Technician is responsible for the coordination and maintenance of anesthesia supplies and equipment, room setup, and proper logging and documentation. They assist anesthesia personnel as needed within their scope of practice. St. Mary's Medical Center (SMMC), part of the Palm Beach Health Network, is a 420-bed acute care hospital in West Palm Beach, serving Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast for over 80 years. SMMC is recognized as a Level 1 Trauma Center, a state-designated Pediatric Trauma Referral Center, a certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, and features a Level III NICU. Pediatric services are provided at the Palm Beach Children's Hospital at St. Mary's Medical Center, which is the only dedicated children's hospital between Ft. Lauderdale and Orlando, offering 24/7 dedicated pediatric emergency and trauma care with a medical staff of 196 pediatricians in 36 subspecialties.
Responsibilities
- Coordination of and maintenance of anesthesia supplies and equipment
- Set-up of rooms
- Maintenance of proper logs and documentation
- Assists the anesthesia personnel as needed within his/her scope of practice
