About The Position

The Anesthesia Technician plays a crucial role in supporting the anesthesia department by preparing and maintaining equipment and supplies necessary for anesthetizing locations. This position involves technical duties related to pharmaceuticals under the supervision of a pharmacist, ensuring a clean and efficient environment for patient care.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must hold American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.
• One or more years of experience as an Anesthesia Technician.

Nice To Haves

• Additional clinical specialty certifications in specific units including Registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia.
• Certified Anesthesia Technologist (Cer.ATT).
• Visual color acuity screening depending on the role in specific units.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up appropriate equipment and supplies for each anesthetizing location.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of anesthesia equipment.
• Maintain a clean environment in the anesthesia department.
• Ensure supply levels are adequate for operations.
• Handle and deliver pharmaceuticals under the supervision of a pharmacist.
