About The Position
POSITION SUMMARY Position Summary: Assists in the provision of patient care under the direction of a registered nurse and/or anesthesia provider. This person assists the operating room team and in labor/delivery in providing indirect care to the surgical patient. Prepares and assembles anesthesia supplies/equipment before, during and following the surgical procedure while maintaining the standards of the surgery department. Works directly with anesthesia staff, operating room staff, and labor/delivery staff. Possesses an in depth understanding of sterile technique. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED
- Basic Life Support certification will be accepted from either American Red Cross CPR/AED for the health Care Provider, or Basic Life Support (American Heart Association-Health Care Provider), or successfully completes within the first 90 days of employment
Nice To Haves
- 1-2 years of nurse assistant/scrub technician experience preferred
