About The Position

JOB PURPOSE: The Anesthesia Advanced Practice Provider (CRNA or Anesthesiologist Assistant) functions as an integral member of the anesthesia care team and practices under the medical direction of anesthesiologists to provide safe, high-quality, and patient-centered anesthesia services. The provider delivers care to patients across all acuity levels in a variety of clinical settings, including surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures. SCHEDULES AVAILABLE: Shifts: 3x12s or 3x13s, 7a-7p or 7a-8p Schedule: Flexible Monday - Friday, Floating day(s) off each week. Floating Day(s) will be based on staffing needs. Monday and Friday coverage are very important. Standard Policies: Can only take Thanksgiving OR Christmas week off, not both. Not required to work the actual holiday. Only off 1 Friday per month May need to take 1 weekend call per month Contract Start: August 17, possibly mid-July based on credentialing Contract Length: 6 months Must have or be willing to obtain a professional corporation (PC) or professional limited liability company (PLLC) Medical Malpractice Covered Responsibilities KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES Ability to perform clinically as part of an anesthesia care team Ability to operate, use, and interpret data from a wide variety of equipment to perform anesthesia care as well as necessary perioperative or operating room care to support the safety and well-being of the patient while they are under the direct care of the CRNA or PA-AA Effective verbal and written communication skills are required to collaborate with various clinical staff and other disciplines Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient population(s) served Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s requirements relative to his or her population-specific and age specific needs Knowledge of infection prevention and control techniques Ability to maintain confidential records Ability to implement and adhere to facility policies and procedure Facilitate the timely delivery of care and efficient function of the OR Disclaimer The above information is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job. Requirements

  • Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA): Graduation from a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (or its predecessor) OR Anesthesiologist Assistant (AA): Master’s degree in Anesthesia from an accredited Anesthesiologist Assistant program
  • For CRNAs: Current Georgia CRNA license ( or eligible and willing to obtain Georgia licensure ) Certification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) OR For Anesthesiologist Assistants: Current Georgia Anesthesiologist Assistant license ( or eligible and willing to obtain Georgia licensure ) Certification by the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Must have or be willing to obtain a professional corporation (PC) or professional limited liability company (PLLC)

Responsibilities

  • Ability to perform clinically as part of an anesthesia care team
  • Ability to operate, use, and interpret data from a wide variety of equipment to perform anesthesia care as well as necessary perioperative or operating room care to support the safety and well-being of the patient while they are under the direct care of the CRNA or PA-AA
