About The Position

To operate as part of the anesthesia team by assisting the anesthesiologist and the CRNA in the administration and maintenance of general and regional anesthesia, by maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting various equipment needs, and by stocking and maintaining par levels of all anesthesia supplies. Job Expectations: Facilitates OR room turnover for anesthesia and operating rooms • Performs cleanup of OR • Readies OR for next patient • Properly cares for equipment and takes action for preventive maintenance • Procures equipment • Transports specimens and blood products Maintains Inventory Control • Orders and track supplies • Monitors arrival of back orders • Returns incorrect or damaged orders • Restocks department with supplies • Makes rounds to keep current inventory in stock Organization Expectations, as applicable: - Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served. - Partners with patient care giver in care/decision making. - Communicates in a respective manner. - Ensures a safe, secure environment. - Individualizes plan of care to meet patient needs. - Modifies clinical interventions based on population served. - Provides patient education based on as assessment of learning needs of patient/care giver. - Fulfills all organizational requirements. - Completes all required learning relevant to the role. - Complies with and maintains knowledge of all relevant laws, regulation, policies, procedures and standards. - Fosters a culture of improvement, efficiency and innovative thinking. - Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Nursing Assistant Registration

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of health or patient care related experience with 6 months experience in an operating room.
