The schedule is per diem as needed. The pay range for this position is $21–$23/hr. How You'll Contribute: We always do whatever it takes, even if it isn’t specifically our “job.” In general, the Andrology Lab Technician is responsible for:

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Physical Science, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year laboratory experience required
  • Familiarity with laboratory procedures and quality control standards
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet time-sensitive deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced computer proficiency
  • Willingness to work some weekends and adapt to scheduling needs

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine semen analysis including concentration, motility, morphology, and white cell assessment
  • Prepare specimens for assisted reproductive procedures, including IUI and cryopreservation
  • Ensure proper collection, labeling, and chain of custody for all specimens
  • Maintain daily quality control logs and monitor equipment performance
  • Record laboratory results in EMR and lab tracking systems accurately and promptly
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on instruments and assist with calibration and troubleshooting
  • Track lab supply inventory and place orders to ensure adequate stock of materials and reagents
  • Handle biohazard materials according to safety protocols and OSHA guidelines
  • Assist with compliance initiatives to maintain state, federal, and CAP/CLIA regulations
  • Deliver results and specimen turnaround within required timeframes (typically within 2 hours)
  • Demonstrate punctuality and readiness to work scheduled shifts
