About The Position

Core Skills: Design, develop, and maintain Android middleware services for Automotive / IVI platforms Work on AOSP customization, system services, framework APIs, and native services Integrate and customize Android Automotive OS (AAOS) components Develop and debug Binder, AIDL, HIDL, and IPC mechanisms Interface with HAL layers and collaborate with BSP / SoC vendors Optimize system performance, boot time, memory usage, and stability Support integration of vehicle signals, CAN, LIN, and Automotive protocols Strong knowledge on Automotive SOCs and Microcontrollers. Debug complex issues in the stack spanning from HAL, drivers, middleware, to user-space applications. Experience with communication interfaces like Ethernet, UART, SPI, USB Experience with CAN, SOME I/P, AVB, or A2B communication protocols is a plus. Knowledge on optimize audio latency, synchronization, and performance for multi-zone and multi-source playback scenarios. Support certification, compliance, and end-of-line (EOL) testing processes related to audio.   Key Responsibilities: Architect and Design of Automotive IVI and Cluster Systems features, including Media, Telephony, Navigation Prompts, Voice Assistants, and Projection modes (CarPlay, Android Auto). Develop and optimize Audio HAL/PAL layers using AIDL, and interface with Android Frameworks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (System Architects, DSP Engineers, Hardware Engineers, and Platform Teams) for feature definition, design, validation, and integration. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field A minimum of 8 years of Android automotive experience Strong skills in C/C++/Java/Python Strong proficiency in Android Framework & Middleware Solid experience with Android Automotive OS (AAOS) Expertise in Java, Kotlin, and C/C++ Hands-on experience with AOSP build system (Soong, Make, Bazel) Deep understanding of Binder, AIDL, HIDL, and system services Experience with HAL development and integration Familiarity with Linux kernel basics and embedded systems Debugging tools: adb, logcat, systrace, perfetto, gdb Knowledge of boot flow, power management, and performance tuning
