About The Position

The Radiology scheduling responsibilities include the scheduling of all radiology procedures in an accurate and timely manner to meet the needs of all customers. Utilizes the radiology procedure/prep manual for accurate preps and efficiency. Will establish and maintain a good rapport with all physicians/office staff, hospital departments, and demonstrate professional telephone skills at all times. Adheres to legal compliance and other regulatory policies. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Radiology scheduling office, and all other areas in radiology. Also subject to bloodborne pathogens and have occasional exposure to toxic chemicals. HEALTH REQUIREMENTS: Acceptable pre-employment health screening (No communicable diseases or disabilities which would prevent the employee from being able to perform the essential functions of the job description in accordance with the American Disabilities Act). Emotional stability. Ability to function effectively under stressful circumstances. Acceptable attendance record. Must be able to see with or without correction well enough to read and interpret reports and perform basic physical assessments. Must be able to hear with or without correction well enough to hear equipment/monitors, alarms, telephone, etc.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (May be allowed to sign a GED agreement to obtain within 6-months)
  • Must be able to maintain a professional friendly attitude, and strive to exceed customer expectations, at all times.
  • Clerical skills to include typing, computer, and operate basic office equipment.
  • Must be able to see with or without correction well enough to read and interpret reports and perform basic physical assessments.
  • Must be able to hear with or without correction well enough to hear equipment/monitors, alarms, telephone, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Medical/Radiology terminology and knowledge of radiology procedures/preps a plus.
  • Prefer excellent communication skills and ability to work with various departments, and physician office staff.
  • Prefer professional telephone skills and ability to develop/maintain excellent rapport with physicians/physician office staff.
  • Prefer ability to multi-task, answer multiple phone lines, and assist customers in a friendly/timely manner.
