Requirements

  • Education in insurance, business, or a related field preferred, with proven administrative experience in the insurance industry—ideally supporting group benefits—and a solid understanding of insurance products, policies, and procedures
  • Proficient with insurance agency management systems and Microsoft Office Suite; highly organized with exceptional attention to detail, strong time‑management skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with carriers and internal stakeholders; strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities; adaptable and effective in a fast‑paced, changing environment

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative and operational support by managing calendars, scheduling, preparing documents, handling correspondence, and supporting the ancillary team with systems, processes, and best practices
  • Manage carrier and policy activities by maintaining strong carrier relationships, processing applications, endorsements, renewals, and claims assistance, coordinating with internal teams and underwriters, and ensuring accuracy, timeliness, compliance, and confidentiality
  • Maintain accurate client and policy data in agency management systems while identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, improve processes, and contribute to overall operational efficiency and service excellence
