About The Position

South College is seeking dynamic, student-centered professionals to join our faculty team as Adjunct Instructors in Anatomy & Physiology. In this role, faculty will teach undergraduate courses designed for students in nursing, respiratory therapy, radiography, and other allied health programs. Responsibilities Provide an in-depth understanding of human body structure and function. Teach courses covering topics such as the organization of the human body, basic chemistry, cells, tissues, and organ systems, as well as the musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, respiratory, nervous, and endocrine systems. Guide students through the integration of systems in health and disease, with laboratory experiences emphasizing hands-on learning and the application of theoretical concepts. Engage students through interactive learning strategies, real-world applications, and supportive guidance that fosters progression into professional healthcare programs. Courses are delivered in a hybrid format, blending on-ground and online instruction. Applicants should be able to attend on-ground courses held at our Pittsburgh Campus in Cranberry Township, PA.

Requirements

  • Applicants must have a minimum of a Master’s degree in Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, or a closely related field (terminal degree preferred).
  • Prior teaching experience at the college level is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum development, assessment, and student support practices.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
