About The Position

The Department of Pathology, University of Maryland School of Medicine invites applicants for a full-time Anatomic Pathology faculty position. Expected rank for this position will be Assistant Professor or higher, however, final rank and tenure status will be commensurate with selected candidate’s experience. The Department has a strong and diverse faculty, excellent training programs, great work- life balance and a very supportive environment. The University of Maryland School of Medicine is the first public and fifth oldest medical school in the United States. On the University of Maryland, Baltimore campus, the School of Medicine serves as the foundation for a large academic health center that combines medical education, biomedical research, patient care and community service. The School of Medicine is ranked 8th among all public medical schools in research. The University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) is the flagship academic medical center of the University of Maryland Medical System (12 hospitals) and includes the 806 licensed bed Downtown Baltimore Campus and the 180 licensed bed Midtown Campus one mile north. Major centers and services at UMMC include, The R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, the University of Maryland Children’s Hospital, the University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center, and the University of Maryland Division of Transplantation to name a few.

Requirements

Sub-specialty training and/or expertise in a sub-specialty area are strongly preferred
Board certification or Board eligibility in Anatomic Pathology is required
