Job Title: Anaplan Senior Lead Architect Role Type: Hands‑On Technical Lead Experience: 8+ Years Location: Remote Job Summary The Anaplan Senior Lead Architect is a hands‑on technical leader responsible for designing, building, and governing scalable Anaplan solutions across enterprise planning use cases. This role combines deep platform expertise with architectural ownership, solution design, and team leadership. The ideal candidate brings strong Anaplan modeling skills, architecture best practices, integration experience, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into high‑performing, sustainable Anaplan ecosystems.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of hands‑on experience with Anaplan modeling and architecture.
  • Proven experience as a Lead Architect or Technical Lead on enterprise Anaplan implementations.
  • Deep expertise in: Model design patterns (Data Hub, Spoke models) ALM, model performance tuning, and scalability UX design and dashboard optimization
  • Strong understanding of enterprise planning domains, such as: Financial Planning (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) Workforce Planning Sales / Revenue Planning CapEx or Supply Chain Planning
  • Experience with system integrations and data pipelines.
  • Ability to mentor teams and lead technical decision‑making.

Nice To Haves

  • Anaplan Solution Architect Certification (or equivalent advanced certifications).
  • Experience establishing or operating an Anaplan Center of Excellence.
  • Background in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and modern data architectures.
  • Experience in Agile / SAFe delivery environments.
  • Consulting or large‑scale enterprise transformation experience.

Responsibilities

  • Own end‑to‑end Anaplan solution architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and long-term maintainability.
  • Design multi‑model, multi‑workspace architectures aligned with enterprise planning standards.
  • Define and enforce modeling best practices, including ALM, data hubs, spoke models, and calculation optimization.
  • Lead design reviews and architectural decision‑making across Anaplan implementations.
  • Build and optimize complex Anaplan models, modules, lists, actions, and UX pages.
  • Implement advanced calculation logic, sparsity management, and performance tuning.
  • Develop reusable components, frameworks, and modeling standards.
  • Actively contribute to solution delivery while mentoring other developers.
  • Design and oversee Anaplan integrations with upstream/downstream systems (ERP, HRIS, CRM, data warehouses).
  • Utilize Anaplan Connect, APIs, middleware (Boomi, MuleSoft, Informatica, etc.), and cloud data platforms.
  • Ensure robust data governance, validation, reconciliation, and error handling.
  • Serve as technical lead for Anaplan project teams, guiding developers and analysts.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, and solution leads to align technical design with business outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain Anaplan Center of Excellence (CoE) standards and documentation.
  • Support release management, environment strategy, and deployment best practices.
  • Translate business requirements into technical designs and solution roadmaps.
  • Provide expert guidance to senior stakeholders on Anaplan capabilities, limitations, and best practices.
  • Support UAT, production cutovers, and post‑deployment optimization.
