About The Position

The Anamet Plant Operator within our factories is also known as a Water Treatment Operator and they monitor all perimeters surrounding wastewater treatment and our factory flume water/ponds systems. Principle accountabilities include but are not limited to: Responsible for pond inspections, examples: pond levels, pump inspections, setup temporary pumping stations and hoses to manage pond water. Collects samples and operates laboratory equipment, performs analytical tests - percent solids, settling, pH and other analytical tests with accuracy for monitoring wastewater processes. Performs related recordkeeping. Monitors water treatment-system operation - aerobic, anaerobic, flume clarifier and the methane system to maintain operating targets. Performs miscellaneous mechanical duties, examples: change valves, gauges, etc., as required to ensure maximum operating efficiency. Adjusts process flow to maintain efficient operation of all water systems in accordance with established guidelines and safety rules.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or a GED certificate is required.
  • Individuals are required to take a Mechanical Aptitude Test and Basic Skills Test to verify basic skills and knowledge.
  • Must take the state required training and obtain license within 18 months.
  • Able to read, write and communicate effectively.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
