About The Position

Turner Industries Group is looking for an Analyzer Technician for work in the Baton Rouge, LA area. This role is responsible for the reliable operation of all process and environmental analyzer systems. Non-exempt role; Reports to the Foreman; Performs a variety of routine duties within established policies. Analyzer Technician's strong in CEMS calibrating, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex gas analyzers such as NOX, ANHYDROUS AMMONIA, GC's, TOC, UV, SULPHUR , PH, etc. and all data systems to ensure industrial emissions meet environmental regulations. Key duties include performing preventive/corrective maintenance, interpreting drawings, documenting data, fixing mechanical/electrical issues, and working with safety/compliance protocols (like MOC/PSM). This position is for a large oil refinery. Job to start Immediately. Must be able to pass DISA drug screen and background.

Requirements

  • High school or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in troubleshooting and repair of process and environmental analyzers
  • Experience in instrumentation and electrical process maintenance
  • Fundamental computer skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work without supervision
  • Ability to learn and use computerized maintenance system for material and work order management
  • Ability to operate moveable equipment such as man lift or forklift as needed
  • Post offer drug / alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of the Turner Industries Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy
  • Comply with company and client job site safety requirements
  • Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace

Nice To Haves

  • Technical school certificate or degree preferred
  • Industrial/Electrical certifications and/or training preferred
  • Technical training and/or industrial related safety experience

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance & Calibration: Perform routine and corrective maintenance, calibration, and adjustments on CEMS equipment, including sensors, probes, sample systems, and data loggers.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair failures in analyzers and associated I/E (Instrumentation & Electrical) equipment using logic diagrams, schematics, and technical knowledge.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance, calibration, data, and repair history, completing work orders and updating technical data.
  • Compliance: Ensure systems meet safety (SHE) and environmental standards, adhering to Management of Change (MOC) and Process Safety Management (PSM) procedures.
  • Safety: Identify and correct unsafe conditions, perform Job Loss Analyses (JLA), and participate in permit-to-work systems.
