About The Position

Join the Integrated Product Analytics team as they innovate and deliver data analytics solutions that unlock the value of data every day at Collins. The team is seeking an Analytics Support Lead to manage analytics support requests that are frequent, varied, and often highly visible across functional stakeholders throughout the business. The Analytics Support Lead will provide analytics domain expertise, mentor other analysts, and take ownership of the support model and related processes. The team supports cutting-edge aerospace systems operating around the world, and the Lead’s contributions will combine their knowledge of engineering products with expertise in data analytics and statistics to help build an end-to-end product digital thread for a suite of Collins Aerospace products. The Lead will leverage this digital thread, which connects previously siloed data across the company, to generate new insights that enhance products, services, and business intelligence.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in Data Science, Statistics, or Analytics.
  • Proficiency in Python programming.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) or distributed computing frameworks (Spark).
  • Experience using Git or other version control systems.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle, from concept through delivery.
  • Experience using Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze data using Python to support business decision-making.
  • Perform statistical analyses to assess data completeness and validity.
  • Assist engineering teams with root cause analysis investigations.
  • Apply machine learning algorithms to numerical and categorical datasets.
  • Mentor and provide modeling guidance to other data analysts.
  • Automate data analyses and standardize formatting procedures.
  • Learn the fundamentals of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Develop and refine the analytics support model to improve efficiency and insights.
