Responsible for providing analytical support to Aircraft Interior Engineering teams supporting the maintenance and operation of aircraft and related equipment. This job also establishes and assists maintaining aircraft and component standards within areas of responsibility.

  • Provides thought leadership for analytical endeavors of discrepant conditions affecting aircraft or components
  • Gathers, interprets, and uses complex data to develop actionable steps that will improve performance and optimize results
  • Investigates aircraft/component problems which may cause delays or cancellations, substantial expenditures in manpower or materials, or interruptions in maintenance operations, and determines appropriate corrective actions
  • Provides Engineering support as required for disposition of discrepant conditions affecting aircraft or components to restore serviceable status
  • Works collaboratively with Maintenance and other airline departments when analytical or technical assistance is required to support projects or resolve problems
  • Prepares Engineering documents in support of procedures for repairs, modifications, inspections, or other maintenance actions which provide benefits in accordance with airline/departmental objectives and management directives
  • Serves as coordinator during project management or problem resolution
  • Keeps informed of day-to-day airline operations involving field of responsibility. Assesses daily priorities in accordance with airline/departmental objectives and management directives
  • Maintains knowledge of current and pending regulations, which affect areas of responsibility and ensures that all Engineering actions maintain compliance with applicable regulatory requirements
  • Utilizes available resources to continually increase levels of technical expertise and practical experience. Also strives to improve communications skills, time management and other personal qualities pertinent to maximum effectiveness and efficiency in performing assigned duties
  • Actively engages with front line team members and leadership equally
  • Serves as a mentor to others
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required
  • 1-2 years of related experience
  • Working knowledge and interest of data analysis and visualization tools, such as SQL, Excel, Data Bricks, and Tableau
  • Master's Degree in Engineering
  • Proficient knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools, such as SQL, Excel, Data Bricks, and Tableau
