About the position

Farmers is seeking a curious, passionate, and hard-working Analytics Engineer Intern to join their paid summer internship program. This role offers students the opportunity to work on real-world projects, transforming raw data into high-quality datasets ready for analysis. The internship combines technical skills, analytical mindset, and business acumen to ensure data accessibility and insight for end users.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and understand their data needs.
• Transform raw data into clean, organized, and analytics-ready datasets using SQL, Python, or other relevant languages.
• Contribute to data workflow including data ingestion, transformation, modeling, and validation to enable data-driven decision-making.
• Utilize modern data tools and technologies such as dbt, Airflow, and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Clearly communicate complex technical concepts and data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelors (BS/BA) or Masters (MS/MA) degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics or Computer Science.
• Ability to manipulate and analyze data to address and solve business problems.
• Familiarity with data manipulation using SQL, Python, or similar languages.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
