About The Position

This position is responsible for constructing forecasts, recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge. Creates specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements. May provide consultation to users and lead cross-functional teams to address business issues. Produces datasets and reports for analysis using system reporting tools. May perform research and assists in analyzing financial and health data, including medical algorithms to determine health care expenditures, medical and economic outcomes, and cost containment strategies. Analyzes complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience in data analysis and information reporting relating to healthcare data, including pharmacy.
  • Knowledge and experience in own function; still acquiring higher-level knowledge and skills.
  • Ability to build knowledge of HCSC, business processes, and customers.
  • Ability to solve a range of problems and analyze possible solutions using standard procedures.
  • Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree
  • Degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Engineering, Business
  • Employing techniques such as case-control study, regression analyses, principal component analyses, clustering exercises, propensity scoring, classification, ROI calculation to produce actionable insights.
  • Understanding of Agile and Waterfall project management methods.
  • Versed in automation tools such as Alteryx.
  • Versed in Data Visualization Tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Versed in querying language such as SQL or Python.
