The Analytics Analyst II will partner with multiple customers across the Enterprise to provide complex resolutions to analytics and data problems. This role involves conducting descriptive statistics, T testing, and other analytical methods that require a thorough understanding of situational factors. The analyst will gather information from various sources and deliver reporting and analytic outputs, such as tables, graphs, and recommendations, in a consultative manner. It is essential for the incumbent to confirm their understanding of recommendations with customers and to determine business-focused deliverables following a consultative analytics workflow. In this position, the analyst will review business requirements and define parameters for more complex analytic projects, including linear models and Tableau visualizations. They will negotiate deliverables and deadlines with customers, employing creativity and consultation with management as necessary. The role requires researching and investigating key business problems through quantitative analyses of healthcare cost and quality data, managing all aspects of data preparation, analysis, and interpretation to meet customer deliverables. The analyst will provide clear, concise, and efficient summary analyses to customers, compiling complex data sets and tailoring them according to the audience. The analyst will evaluate and process raw data to create user-friendly outputs that provide actionable insights, both visual and otherwise, to end users. They will demonstrate keen judgment on complex assignments, devising methods and procedures to address unusual conditions and contributing original solutions to difficult problems. Reports will be prepared, developed, analyzed, shaped, and delivered in a timely manner, telling a story that includes health plan cost and utilization trends, monitoring the effectiveness of care management programs, and identifying opportunities to control costs and utilization. The analyst will utilize relevant tools to optimize reporting efficiency and provide business partners with user-friendly tools for self-service reporting. Building collaborative relationships across functional teams and other analytic teams is crucial, as is following department policies to ensure consistent utilization and cost reporting. The analyst will employ appropriate techniques to ensure data and result integrity while maintaining compliance with Horizon policies and regulations, including data security. Documentation of work will be essential, including the use of Analytic Plan/Timeline templates for analytic projects as appropriate. Other functions may be assigned by management as needed.
