Dow has an exciting job opportunity for an Analytical Technologist in Hahnville, LA. About You and This Role - What you will do in this role Do you prefer a manufacturing role where you are able to work as an independent contributor on an empowered team? In this role, you will work in a lab environment supporting eight production trains with a diverse product slate. You will help ensure the overall safety, reliability, and success of the lab and supporting staff.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent and one of the following is required: Associates degree or higher in a science discipline. In lieu of a degree Dow will consider those with 4 or more years of relevant military experience.
  • 2 or more years of industrial lab experience.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Able to work overtime as needed.

  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 or more years of industrial lab experience.
  • Bachelors degree in a science discipline.
  • Willing and able to meet physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation: Wear all required personal protective equipment. Lift, push, and pull. Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting. Stand and walk for extended periods of time. Climb stairs and ladders.
  • Analytical System Monitoring – Ability to assess system reliability and evaluate both routine and non‑routine data using statistical tools to ensure accurate decision‑making.
  • Advanced Troubleshooting – Skill in diagnosing complex instrumentation or method issues and escalating unique problems to experts when needed.
  • Method & Equipment Implementation – Experience in leading the rollout and qualification of new analytical methods and laboratory equipment.
  • Cross‑Functional Coordination – Strong communication and organization skills to collaborate effectively with plant operations, quality, and logistics to meet analytical demands.
  • Process & Workflow Improvement – Capability to identify inefficiencies and implement enhancements to lab processes, tools, and analytical workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors analytical systems for reliability and performance, evaluate validity of routine and non-routine data, applies statistical tools to ensure accurate interpretation of results and takes appropriate action.
  • Conducts high-level troubleshooting on analytical instrumentation and methods and escalates to experts for unique problems as needed.
  • Leads the implementation and qualification of new analytical equipment and methods.
  • Coordinates with plant operations, quality, and logistics using strong communication and organization skills to understand and meet business analytical needs.
  • Implements improvements to lab work processes and tools.
