About The Position

The Analytical/Microbiology Lab Technician at Cordis is responsible for performing various laboratory tasks related to chemistry and microbiology, including data management, testing, and lab organization. Requirements

• An associate degree in Chemistry or related field (required); a BS or BA degree in Chemistry or related field (preferred).
• 2 - 4 years of experience in a laboratory setting.
• Ability to perform light office work.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 lbs.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform operations involving pipetting, transferring, and serial dilutions of chemicals and solutions.
• Conduct tests on standard lab equipment, including drug or endotoxin testing.
• Accurately weigh and measure reagents, standards, and samples.
• Adjust, maintain, and calibrate equipment such as balances, repeaters, and pH meters.
• Prepare mobile phases, media, solutions, and standards.
• Manage data entry, verification, and record management of all testing.
• Procure and restock chemistry and microbiology lab supplies.
• Assist in the execution of method development and method validation activities.
• Adhere to Cordis standard operating procedures and quality instructions.
• Wash glassware for chemistry/micro labs as needed.
• Follow all GLP safety measures when handling chemicals and hazardous waste.
• Communicate relevant information regarding raw materials, in-process, and finished products to other departments.
• Perform activities in a lab or clean room environment.
