The Analytical Development -Testing, Operations and Automation team (AD- TOA) within Biopharmaceutical Science, manufacturing and operations -CGT CMC is seeking an individual who has experience with flow cytometry and expertise working with cell based assays. Shift: 1st - Wednesday - Sunday Key Duties Flexible to work in both locations of Vertex buildings within 1.5-mile distance when required. Flexible to work with different schedules when required and different teams when needed. Carry out routine manual or automated flow cytometry testing for stem cells related samples. Actively involve in routine testing to support process development and characterization and flow related release assays for identity, potency and impurities for Vertex preclinical, clinical and next generation cell therapy programs. Be a strong team player contributing to group priorities and deliverables with great communication skills. Maintain excellent written documentation of completed experiment (ELN, LIMS) and maintain knowledge share systems (MS-Teams and share points). Ability to follow and understand SOPs and review protocols or reports as needed. Manage and track inventory for sample and reagents as needed for several projects. Participate in a data management activity to ensure timely completion of deliverables. Performs other duties as assigned.

  • BS or MS in Cell & Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline with BS 1-2 years experience or MS with 0 years experience
  • Relevent Industry experience in biologics or cell and gene therapy space
  • Has good experience with flow cytometry technique and other cellular based
  • Possesses excellent pipetting skills.
  • Possess standard lab safety regulations and work in GLP like laboratory environment
  • Has excellent communication skills and effectively coordinates work across different teams
  • Industry experience in cell and gene therapy space.
  • Experience with assay automation and assay high throughput techniques.
  • Experience with sample management and ELN/LIMS systems.
  • Experience working with pluripotent/hematopoietic stem cells.
