About The Position

We are seeking a goal driven, self-motivated analytical chemist with ICPMS experience for trace metal analysis in a clean room laboratory environment. Additional analytical testing methods will include titration, ion, liquid, and gas chromatography. Responsibilities include sample preparation and analysis in compliance with standard procedures, prioritization of sample queue based on customer and factory need, and maintenance of laboratory and equipment. The Analytical Chemistry Lab technician will work with the Lab engineers and the Lab manager in support of Intel Ocotillo site manufacturing operations. Assignments are semi routine in nature, with work performed within generally defined parameters, requiring some degree of judgment in resolving nonstandard problems. Requirements

  • Excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to fast-changing priorities
  • A demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team setting
  • Willingness to successfully work as a team with peers, engineers and other analytical lab groups
  • Comfort working with a variety of chemicals including acids, bases, oxidizers, solvents, etc.
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment for several hours each day
  • Ability to work standing (e.g. at fume hoods or chemical wet stations) for several hours each day
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or STEM related to Semi. Mfg. (MET)/BS STEM (operator) AND 1+ years maintenance/chemical handling experience
  • OR Associate degree STEM related to Semi. Mfg. (MET)/STEM (operator) AND 4+ years maintenance/chemical handling experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or STEM related to Semi. Mfg. (MET)/BS STEM (operator)
  • Familiarity with laboratory scales and pipetting techniques
  • 5+ years of experience working in a semiconductor manufacturing facility or lab facility
  • 1+ years of experience with ICPMS, Assay (titration or densitometry), GCMS, Ion Chromatography, Liquid Chromatography highly desired
