About The Position

Based in Morrisville, NC Nufarm is looking for a dynamic and experienced Analytical Chemist supporting across all phases of Product Development—from proof of concept through lifecycle management of commercialized products. This includes analytical support for process and formulation development, manufacturing of both existing commercial and pipeline products, and the defense of the current product portfolio.

Requirements

  • You hold a bachelor's degree in chemistry or related fields with six years industry experience in analytical discipline or; MS with four years or; PhD in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related fields with two years industrial analytical experience.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in agricultural industry.
  • Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Nufarm in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with triple quadrupole and TOF mass spectroscopy.
  • Experience with testing in formulation and application technologies in the field of Crop Protection.

Responsibilities

  • Strong knowledge of traditional and modern analytical techniques including chromatography (HPLC, GC) and mass spectrometric techniques (LC/MS, GC/MS).
  • Experience with triple quadrupole and TOF mass spectroscopy is a plus.
  • Experience with testing in formulation and application technologies in the field of Crop Protection is a plus.
  • Hands-on analytical method development experience in an industrial setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively and work in teams of scientists.
  • Experience with troubleshooting, diagnosing, and fixing issues related to analytical instrumentation and technical measurement challenges.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to track work across multiple unique projects.
  • Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and complete analytical projects with cross-functional teams.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to relay scientific information (discussion, reports and presentations) in a manner appropriate to the customer/audience.
  • Must be well organized and detail oriented.
  • Must be able to multitask and operate effectively within a diverse work environment.
  • Must be team oriented and have strong interpersonal skills.
  • Identify problems and implement solutions.
  • Ability to work on multiple, complex projects, providing robust and accurate data to agreed deadlines.
