About The Position
The successful candidate will be joining the Eurofins, PSS team at a client site to support physical characterization for pharmaceutical products. Analytical Chemist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Physical testing of samples to support pharmaceutical formulation development Data processing, interpretation and documentation Calibration and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment Laboratory support activities including weekly eye-wash checks, shipping, and chemical inventory.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences or other related discipline with a minimum of two (2) years of industrial experience OR a Master's Degree.
- Experience with physical characterization techniques such as Powder X-ray diffraction, thermal analysis, vibrational spectroscopy (FTIR, Raman) and/or microscopy
- Ability to multi-task and be self motivated
- Ability to perform duties and responsibilities with minimal supervision
Nice To Haves
- GMP experience is preferred
- Experience with powder characterization techniques to measure particle size, powder flow, and surface area.
- Experience with laboratory automation tools
- Experience with Microsoft office products (Word, Excel)
