About The Position

The Role: Our site in Burnet, TX is seeking an Analytical Chemist Co-Op to join our team for the Fall 2026 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration, beginning in June through December. The co-op will learn operations of a quality lab from method development and validation to scheduling lab time. This position will combine knowledge of analytical chemistry with quality requirements and business operations giving the candidate a wholistic view of how a quality lab operates in a large volume manufacturing site with very special chemistries.

Requirements

  • Must be a currently enrolled student
  • Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in June and working through December.
  • Must be familiar with the university’s requirements to participate in a co-op program
  • Entegris is not currently hiring candidates for co-ops/internships who will need, now or at any time in the future, Entegris sponsorship through the H1-B lottery.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Analytical techniques such as GC, IC, ICP-MS, FTIR, Raman and NM, preferred.
  • Understanding of statistical process control to verify quality of data, recognize and address data trends.
  • Knowledge of all MS Office applications, additional knowledge of statistical processing applications, dashboarding applications or project management resources is a plus.
  • Ability to multi-task and balance independent work, teamwork, and time effectively.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and organization required to ensure high quality analysis and data.
  • Desired Major(s) & Graduation Year: Chemistry: Chemical Physics and Instrumentation Chemistry: Materials Chemistry Chemistry: Statistics and Data Science Chemical Engineering: Materials Graduating in December 2026 or later.

Responsibilities

  • Learn routine testing procedures for our specialty chemicals to provide data for Customer CoAs.
  • Use knowledge of analytical tools to assist with troubleshooting.
  • Use knowledge of analytical chemistry and interactions to evaluate and suggest improvements to current practices.
  • Learn lab operations and assist in streamlining or making improvements to the process to improve lab KPIs.
  • Assist in ensuring proper Laboratory cleanliness to support high quality trace-level data.
  • Follow and improve safety guidelines and maintain a clean and orderly environment (5S Guidelines)
