The Mayor’s Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is the City government's chief financial agency. OMB's staff of analysts and experts assembles and oversees the Mayor’s expense and capital budgets, which fund the services and activities of approximately 90 City agencies and entities. The Interfund Agreements (IFA) Unit is responsible for the management and oversight of an annual budget in excess of $700 million across ten City agencies. The Unit monitors IFA agencies’ spending and the recoupment of revenue generated through timesheet billings by city staff responsible for designing and / or managing capital project work. Oversight responsibilities include the ongoing evaluation of IFA funding requests, ensuring that IFA spending is not excessive relative to a capital project’s overall budget and expenses, the review and approval of personnel actions, and ensuring that agencies’ employee rosters are properly maintained and are up-to-date. The candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to accomplish tasks with limited supervision. Responsibilities include Interfund Agreement timesheet and roster functions, Personnel Action Request (PAR) processing and agency performance monitoring. The individual must possess excellent interpersonal skills to successfully work independently and as a member of a team. Capital budgeting experience is preferred. Familiarity with databases, the development of ad hoc queries through MS Access and the SAP Crystal Designer reporting tool.
