About The Position

Our division works on some of the most complex financial challenges and transactions in the market today. Whether advising on a merger, providing financial solutions for an acquisition, or structuring an initial public offering, we handle projects that help clients at major milestones. We work with corporations, pension funds, financial sponsors, and governments and are team of strong analytical thinkers, who have a passion for producing out-of-the-box ideas. The Capital Solutions Group within Global Banking & Markets is looking for an Analyst to join the Structured Finance - Structured Credit Solutions ("SCS") team in New York. SCS works closely with classic investment banking, trading and other product groups to originate and execute structured finance transactions. We operate a diverse and global business that brings together broad capabilities across financing, underwriting, capital raising, risk management and advisory to provide holistic solutions to our clients. The SCS team is a market-leading and differentiated franchise focused on pioneering creative and novel structured solutions for corporate clients across all sectors and regions. Working with the SCS team means the opportunity to be involved with some of the most consequential and strategic financings for major corporates. Recent deals include structured equity joint ventures (including digital infrastructure), esoteric ABS transactions such as airline loyalty-backed financings and spectrum-backed financings, pre-IPO structured HoldCo financings and cross-border asset-backed LBO financings, among others. We are an entrepreneurial team and regularly adjust our focus based on key themes and trends relevant to our clients. In addition to recently executed transactions, we offer solutions spanning hybrid capital, non-traditional project finance, bespoke future flow financings, tax credit monetization, and special situations financings. The team employs a OneGS approach. Through a cross-divisional effort with our Asset & Wealth Management division, we offer both best-efforts and principal executions for clients in developed and emerging markets. The Analyst role in SCS combines many of the features of classic investment banking, principal investing and sales and trading. Analysts develop strong financial modeling, presentation, project management and client relationship skills. In this specific role, the Analyst will learn how to structure bespoke high-grade solutions financings to help our clients access new pools of private capital at scale, while also supporting the SCS group’s broader portfolio of projects. Analysts have opportunities to engage with clients, get exposure to GS leadership and develop significant product knowledge while building a broad skill set in a short period of time. At Goldman Sachs, we commit our people, capital and ideas to help our clients, shareholders and the communities we serve to grow.
