Business Unit Overview: Blackstone Multi-Asset Investing (BXMA) manages $96 billion across a diversified set of businesses. Our strategies include Absolute Return, Multi-Strategy, Total Portfolio Management, and Public Real Assets. Job Description: The Analyst will support the full scope of responsibilities of the Investment Oversight Solutions (IOS) team across all BXMA businesses. The IOS team is a critical component of BXMA’s investment process and works closely with Portfolio Management, Investment Strategy, Investment Operations, Institutional Client Service, Legal, and Compliance teams. This role offers significant exposure to a broad range of hedge fund investment strategies and direct investments.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • A self‑starter mentality that thrives in a dynamic environment
  • Capable of analyzing and working with large datasets, including performance and investment data
  • Capable of independently managing ad hoc projects through completion
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of hedge fund structures, liquidity terms, and investment business terms
  • Prior experience in compliance, audit, or hedge fund operations
  • Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools
  • A strong interest in global financial markets and hedge funds

Responsibilities

  • Partnering with investment professionals to ensure investments align with performance objectives, investment guidelines, and applicable regulations
  • Creating, maintaining, and amending guideline tests within BXMA’s proprietary systems
  • Testing investment guidelines and reporting results internally and externally
  • Coordinating investor communications with the Institutional Client Service team regarding guideline‑related matters and portfolio inquiries
  • Negotiating and drafting investment guidelines in collaboration with Legal, Portfolio Management, and Institutional Client Service teams
  • Partnering with Blackstone Technology & Innovations to enhance BXMA’s guideline monitoring and oversight capabilities
  • Liaising with service providers and sub‑advisors
  • Managing projects and initiatives across the IOS function
  • Maintaining and validating data within internal systems
  • Analyzing investment‑related and operational information
