About The Position

International Equity Analyst Driehaus Capital Management LLC is a privately held investment management firm that manages global, emerging markets, US growth equity and alternative investment strategies. The firm has a diverse institutional client base comprised of corporate and public pensions, endowments, foundations, sub-advisory, family offices, wealth managers and financial advisors, globally. Our office is in downtown Chicago, IL (River North neighborhood) and we offer a full benefits package along with the potential of a hybrid work schedule following an initial training period. We are seeking an Associate Analyst/Analyst with 1 – 4 years of equity research experience to support our International Small Cap team. Position offered (Associate Analyst vs Analyst) depends on relevant years of experience and skill set.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Investment professional with at least 1 year of financial analysis experience.
  • Demonstrated interest in investment management and international markets.
  • Passion for growth investing and demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in equity research.
  • Familiarity with using either Factset or Bloomberg.
  • Strong accounting and finance skills.
  • Ability to communicate ideas, strong presentation skills, decisive, curious and willingness to learn.
  • High impact individual who can think independently, make decisions quickly, and have the confidence and drive to be successful.

Responsibilities

  • Research and evaluate new investment ideas for assigned portfolios which meet investment objectives and portfolio requirements.
  • Analyze markets, competitive positioning, industry publications, data releases, regulatory events, earnings reports, published research and technical factors.
  • Prepare written reports for Portfolio Manager(s) to review which include investment ideas and reasons supporting ideas based on analysis of relevant factors.
  • Recommend stocks to purchase within the assigned area(s).
  • Conduct research on existing holdings to determine whether or not they continue to meet stated investment objectives and recommend changes in holdings if no longer compatible with investment objectives.
  • Assess fundamental and technical trends within the assigned area(s) to generate appropriate investment ideas and contribute to asset allocation decisions.
  • Monitor and interpret major ESG-related company developments, best practices, themes, and trends affecting companies, sectors, and industries.
