About The Position

As the Analyst, Workforce Management and Pay Technology at Chipotle, you will play a crucial role as a System Administrator and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all Payroll systems, including Workday and Kronos/UKG, supporting both U.S. and international payroll processing teams. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth operation of bi-weekly payroll production, addressing and mitigating any system or integration issues that may arise during payroll processing. You will act as a liaison between internal stakeholders and vendor support when necessary, ensuring that payroll operations run efficiently and effectively. In addition to payroll processing, you will provide support to the Senior Analyst, Payroll Systems, focusing on business process improvements that enhance efficiency and quality across various teams, including Payroll, Compliance, Onboarding, Operations, Employee Service Center, and Benefits. Your role will involve leveraging industry best practices to document and maintain proper segregation of controls to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations. You will also be a key contributor to special projects, participating in the research, development, documentation, and refinement of payroll business processes. Your responsibilities will include managing the bi-weekly payroll processes, producing standard payroll reports, and maintaining accurate exception reporting for the payroll team. You will operate as a Payroll Functional SME, collaborating with Centers of Excellence (COEs) to support Payroll systems projects, which encompass planning, business process mapping, requirements gathering, design, configuration, and implementation. Additionally, you will create and maintain payroll test plans, coordinate user acceptance testing, and conduct functional regression testing of new and enhanced Payroll Systems functionality and reporting tools. Your role will also involve supporting Payroll System upgrades and optional features review with stakeholders, conducting business process re-engineering to identify improvement opportunities, and making recommendations to ensure processes align with industry standards. Furthermore, you will assist in user training and the creation of documentation related to Payroll Systems and business processes, ensuring that all functional process documentation is accurate and comprehensive. You will also support the alignment of Payroll Systems configuration with IT infrastructure, data mapping, and integration in accordance with IT change control, information security, and compliance standard operating procedures.
