About The Position

The Transportation Analyst at Yazaki North America Inc. plays a crucial role in the Supply Chain team, focusing on load planning and freight movement. This position requires collaboration and action-driven efforts to optimize shipments and enhance operational efficiency within the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or Supply Chain management.
• Expert level proficiency in oral and written English; Spanish language skills preferred but not required.
• High energy, positive attitude, customer service and continuous improvement mindset, and team spirit.
• Two (2) plus years of experience in Transportation/Supply Chain preferred.
• Advanced desktop computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook required; SAP program experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates all processes and functions of load planning and freight movement.
• Processes customer orders, plans and optimizes shipments into loads, and tenders freight to external carriers.
• Updates the Transportation Management System with current shipment information.
• Provides visibility to management and internal customers by tracking, auditing, researching, and troubleshooting operational issues.
• Completes daily logs, trackers, and internal systems with detailed information.
• Escalates rate negotiations with carriers on a spot rate basis to the Logistics Engineering team.
• Identifies cost savings opportunities for the Logistics Engineering team.
• Escalates damage notifications from the distribution center to the Logistics Claims team and Carrier.
• Coordinates on-time performance (pickup and delivery) with carriers by tracking loads in TMS.
• Displays a team-player attitude and assists the team when needed.
