Your Opportunity as the Analyst, Transportation Operations The Transportation Analyst – Operations is responsible for monitoring in‑transit shipments, resolving delivery exceptions, and ensuring timely communication and recovery when transportation plans do not execute as expected. This role is focused on reactive operational support, customer service, and issue resolution across the transportation network. This position plays a key role in protecting service performance and customer experience by quickly identifying issues, coordinating corrective actions, and escalating risks appropriately. Location: Orrville, Corporate Offices Work Arrangements: Hybrid - onsite a minimum of 9 days a month primarily during core weeks as determined by the Company; maybe more as business need requires In this role you will: Track & Trace / Shipment Monitoring Monitor open shipments to identify late, at‑risk, or failed pickups and deliveries Investigate shipment issues by working directly with carriers, sites, and internal partners Provide timely status updates and visibility to stakeholders impacted by transportation disruptions Ensure shipment milestones and exceptions are accurately documented in the TMS Exception Management & Issue Resolution Resolve transportation exceptions such as missed pickups, late deliveries, appointment changes, and carrier issues Coordinate corrective actions with carriers, warehouses, customer teams, and internal partners Follow established escalation protocols for high‑risk or unresolved transportation issues Support recovery actions to minimize service failures, penalties, or customer impact Independently authorize incremental transportation spend (e.g. hot swaps, expedites, spot market, etc.) when appropriate to protect on-time delivery (service metrics) Limited Load Tendering Support Perform limited load tendering in support of recovery scenarios (e.g., re‑tendering loads after rejection or failure) and offline shipments Execute load coverage actions only when required to resolve active exceptions Coordinate closely with planning‑focused analysts to ensure alignment to transportation plans Service Performance & Documentation Document transportation issues, root causes, and resolutions to support performance reporting Identify recurring issues and provide input to planning and performance teams for preventive action Support service‑focused KPIs such as on‑time delivery, penalty fee mitigation, exception frequency, and response time
