The Actuarial Talent Development Analyst will play a critical role on the Human Capital team, supporting the global OW Actuarial population on all talent development-related activities. This includes but is not limited to employee engagement, performance management, training, and the design and implementation of new programs, policies, and procedures. The ideal candidate will be a structured thinker with strong detail orientation and a robust analytical toolkit. We are looking for someone with a passion for people development, an ownership mindset, and a collaborative approach. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week in the office. There is no option to be fully remote.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in consulting, HR or talent management support, preferably in a consulting or professional services firm.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Advanced skill in Excel (including pivot tables and data visualization) and PowerPoint required; intermediate proficiency with survey and data analysis tools preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with talent analytics concepts and automation technologies in HR.
  • Ability to independently conduct analyses in Excel and craft data-driven narratives in PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to tailor the message to fit the audience.
  • Proven ability to establish and grow relationships at all levels within an organization.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, change, and stakeholder management abilities
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to be productive, flexible and to simultaneously manage multiple project priorities in a complex, performance-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in collecting, cleaning, and analyzing HR and talent data to generate actionable insights and narratives that support strategic talent initiatives, partnering with our central Data & Analytics function as appropriate.
  • Extract insights from data/analyses into narratives that enhance decision-making and stakeholder engagement; create PowerPoint slides that help tell a story with data.
  • Identify and collaborate with IT or digital teams to automate and optimize manual HR and talent management processes, improving efficiency through technology and workflow enhancements.
  • Support the Human Capital team in embedding AI and automation into day-to-day operations.
  • Leverage data-driven insights to design, enhance, and execute performance management initiatives that align with strategic goals.
  • Help lead key phases of the performance management cycle with an emphasis on data analysis and reporting, communications, and training sessions.
  • Act as a key resource for managers and employees, guiding on effective use of performance management tools and resources.
  • Support talent calibration and career pathing meetings by collecting, organizing, and preparing data that supports informed decision making.
  • Assist in improving, developing and executing the full lifecycle of surveys, focusing on optimizing survey design and insightful analyses and reporting.
  • Deliver comprehensive reports, data visualizations and narratives to explain trends and provide recommendations.
  • Collaborate with leadership to enhance survey questions for more meaningful feedback and strategic impact.
  • Facilitate feedback sessions or focus groups based on survey results to gather qualitative insights.
  • Partner with Oliver Wyman Learning & Development to maintain the Actuarial curriculum and manage online learning platforms.
  • Help identify skill gaps and establish learning plans through analysis of feedback, learning data, and performance metrics.
  • Work with leadership teams to identify and coordinate career development and training opportunities.
  • Assist in maintaining learning management systems and supporting ad-hoc administration of learning content.
  • Manage and coordinate the internal corporate sponsorship program, including sourcing and tracking sponsorship commitments, facilitating communications, and supporting program reporting and evaluation.
  • Coordinate cross-departmental collaboration to support unified talent initiatives and communication efforts.
  • Provide administrative support as needed to support HR and talent development initiatives, such as preparing and coordinating communications, analyses and reports, documentation and scheduling.
