About The Position

The GME Senior Business Analyst provides high‑level financial, analytical, operational, and systems support to the Graduate Medical Education (GME) Office. This role expands the office’s capacity to manage increasingly complex trainee financial workflows, accreditation requirements, institutional partnerships, and compliance functions across multiple health system sites.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree - business administration, finance, healthcare administration, data analytics, or related field.
  • 1 - 2 Years equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Financial & Operational Analysis: Conduct complex financial analyses, including budget monitoring, variance reporting, and forecasting.
  • Track, evaluate, and report key operational and workforce metrics.
  • Maintain audit‑ready financial and operational documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and improve resource utilization.
  • Support development of business cases and ROI assessments for new initiatives.
  • Regulatory, Compliance & Program Support: Support departmental compliance with UC Health policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and tracking systems for compliance‑related processes.
  • Assist with internal audits, external reporting, and process standardization.
  • Coordinate cross‑departmental initiatives related to program development, policy updates, or process improvement.
  • Data Management, Dashboards & Reporting: Build and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and other visualization tools to support operational and strategic decision‑making.
  • Translate large, complex datasets into actionable insights for leadership.
  • Ensure data accuracy, quality, and consistency across systems.
  • Partner with IT, analytics, and operational leaders to enhance data availability and reporting capabilities.
  • Operations, Systems, and Technology Integration: Lead or support implementation of digital tools, workflow automation, and process‑enhancement technologies.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI‑enabled solutions, for operational fit and scalability.
  • Work with stakeholders to optimize onboarding, offboarding, and other enterprise workflows.
  • Support system upgrades, configuration, testing, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Strategic & Cross‑Functional Support: Contribute to enterprise‑level initiatives related to performance improvement, workforce development, quality, or patient experience.
  • Facilitate collaboration across departments, service lines, and system partners.
  • Provide project management support for medium- to large‑scale initiatives.
  • Assist in developing and delivering training, education, or communication materials for new processes or systems.
