Feel free to enrich both your personal and work life and hop on board! This job is a member of the Fleet Planning and Analysis Team within the FP&A and Corporate Development Division. Responsible for the management of American's fleet assets and efficiently deploying capital to support American's fleet needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in finance, economics, or similar field, or equivalent experience/training
  • 3 years of work experience

Nice To Haves

  • MBA, CFA or other advanced certification
  • Strong understanding of airline / aircraft economics

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of the Company's long-term fleet strategy
  • Monitor aircraft and industry trends to distill implications for the airline's fleet strategy
  • Develop the airline's 5 year fleet plan with consideration for aircraft deliveries, network requirements, and operational constraints
  • Analyze aircraft economics in support of aircraft acquisitions, retirements, and other fleet investments
  • Conduct financial analysis, including valuations using discounted cash flow modeling, sensitivity analysis, etc., to support investment decisions into the fleet
  • Partner with key stakeholders, FP&A, Network Planning, Tech Ops, Corporate Communications, Accounting, and aircraft manufacturers and suppliers to evaluate and implement fleet projects
